What the Law says.
The Welsh government has acted together to prevent any further tragedies in April 2011, and putting regulations together to introduce in 2013.fire sprinkler systems, to be installed in all new build properties and refurbished care homes, hostels and homes in multiple occupation from April 2013.
The law introduced in 2016 to say it is a compulsory requirement to install sprinkler installation in all new build dwellings or where there has been a change of use of property, this was introduced as from January 2016, the Domestic Fire Safety (Wales) Measures was passed by the National Assembly for Wales,making Wales the first country in the world to make fire sprinkler systems mandatory in all new builds.
To comply with the regulatory reform ( safety order) order 2005, all fire protection systems must be serviced.
